Decent Place, Horrible Service

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
Pros: location, lots of space, pretty new
Cons: expensive, noisy, poor service
This last point deserves elaboration. Just off the top of my head:
1. Took weeks for them to verify our previous residence, eventually requiring a visit in person
2. 2 of our 3 keys didn't work on the back/side doors. Complained to office 3 times, with no result
3. UPS packages were received by the office, but we were not notified of it (had to keep asking the office ourselves)
4. We were told that the mold testing could be done after we left in June, but were later told that they had to do it before June
5. Temporary apartment was supposed to have cable and high-speed internet. Had neither, and even the phone line in the bedroom was dead.
6. Mold testing resulted in damage to the apartment, including stains, a missing bedroom door, a collapsed closet shelf, and missing personal items
7. Security deposit and rent refund for mold testing were supposed to be sent within 2 weeks of moveout, but still have been sent after 5 weeks.
8. Office ignores voice mails
To be fair, the staff in KBL is often friendly and helpful. It's the administrative office based at 91 Sidney that is a huge pain. If I can think of these 8 things without much effort at 4AM, imagine what it would be like to live at this place and actually *depend* on the staff.
