Awful! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 8/11/2003 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003   While the building at first seemed full of character and the location perfect, my experience living in KBL was the worst nightmare and I moved out. Apparently the people who think all is fine there just dont talk to too many other people and didnt think to show up at the tenants meetings that went on for a while but due to the incredible turnover in the building (and thus indifference) came to a stop. To get a sense of the building one only need look into how many changes in management there were in the past years. The current property manager is inefficient and indifferent towards basic needs of the tenants. Indeed there was a severe mold problem. It was not of generousity of the heart that after many years of known problems suddenly the entire ventilation system was worked on for months. At some point simply too many were getting sick or having problems from it and then there is litigation over the death of an infant linked to it... Many people including myself had damage to their possessions in the temporary moves that everyone had to go through. A few were put in hotels for months at a time and yet initially were told it would only be a week or so. Literally everything I was promised verbally when I first checked out the building was not followed through. By the way: construction is going to be starting for a whole new apartment building right next door on the lawn between the Star Market and KBL...I doubt anyone will mention it to a prospective tenant...that is their style there! I'd strongly recommend staying away.
