I was initially attracted to KBL by its spacious units and its close proximity to the T and MIT. The whole complex started going downhill about a year after I moved in and is quickly on the decline. The surrounding area is not safe. There have been numerous armed robberies only blocks away from the building. Shady characters frequent the complex often though security does try to show a presence. The doors are often propped open so that anybody can enter the building. We've had numerous false fire alarms caused by people pulling the alarm as a prank. It usually happens a few times a week. Residents are moving out becuase they don't feel safe, among other reasons. When my lease is up, I'm leaving too.
