Cambridge housing is overwhelmingly old,lacking amenities and overpriced. 1200 Mass Ave is no exception. For 1350 I rented a large but charmless one bedroom that suffered throughout the winter with an ineffective heating system, and an unresponsive management company. The common areas of laundry and trash/recycling were poorly maintained with non working dryers and overflowing receptacles. The building supervisor was non responsive and unequipped to handle matienance issues. Location is convenient for Harvard square, but beware the sound of loud church bells if you rent a back unit. Apartment Rental Experts often rents this building out, which is how I came to it, sight unseen from an out of state move. I would not recommend at all.
