Despite what another poster has said, this building is not filled with college students just dying to turn it into a raucous fraternity if only Barbara White weren't there to stop them. That's a myth perpetrated by the building managment in a lame attempt to justify Barbara's rude, offensive behavior towards the tenants. In fact, the building is filled with adults who pay high rents and who deserve to be treated with courtesy not contempt. As many others have already stated, Barbara is a bitter, demented old woman with no life who enjoys bullying people. She rudely accosts people and accuses them of things, often without any evidence, and even when proven wrong rarely backs down. Even when she has a valid issue her style is so confrontational and offensive that it almost makes you want to break some more rules just to irritate her. Some say she runs a tight ship - well a good manager can run a tight ship without treating the tenants and staff like dirt. Throwing a couple of parties each years does not make up for bad behavior 99% of the time.

Despite numerous complaints to the owners, they seem unwilling to do anything about her. Supposedly they credit her with converting the building from low income housing into a luxury building and that may be true but she's clearly outlived her usefulness and become a liability to them. She's largely responsible for the low occupancy and high turnover of both tenants and staff. All the negative reviews of the building on this site are because of her. If they really want to turn this building around, they either need to fire her or put her out to pasture in a job where she's not allowed to deal directly with tenants. Tenants in an expensive luxury building deserve better than Barbara White.

I say: AMEN. This tenant is telling it like it is. I used to live there; nice building, safety, nice area or neighborhood. The manager: Barbara White is a terrible manager, and she continues to strut her rudenes,lies and what have you around;over and over again. First Realty:Their a joke in a cracker jackbox,They think she is heaven's angel.And Ido agree with the statement: She has outlived her usefulness and has become a liability to them. Yet they continue to keep her on.However every great empire falls,And so will Parkside place with it's night and shining armour: First Realty.
