Sure, new management has made changes. Some for the good some for the bad. They installed cameras, better lighting and dead bolts for security (removed the ability to "buzz" guests in which is a problem in a 6 story building with bad elevators).

Other than that, it's was status quo at this place. Lived there for 2 years and had the same loud neighbors, mice, bad heat, nasty kitchen, old bathroom and maintenance issues. Maintenance is a big problem. Nothing seems to get fixed. They just put a band-aid on until you have to call again. Don't even try to talk to the guy on the weekend. He's wasted most of the time and prone to outbursts if you ask for something on his "day off" (24 hour maintenance doesn't really work here). A lot of international grad students (not a bad thing) that don't speak up because they are only there for 6-12 months (a bad thing).

While I was there someone started a message board that you should check out before you rent here. It was started after a string of break-ins. http://groups.google.com/group/waldenpark

I'm sure you can do a lot worse in Cambridge. Just know that while they advertise "luxury" all you are getting is a mediocre place to live.

Note - I'm very suspicious about the other 2 reviews here. Both posted soon after new management and both somewhat glowing. Read the message board and you'll find out fast that not many people would give glowing reviews. lGjq8RUBjvsZjkb5ueji

I hate to burst your bubble but as one of the recent people who have posted to this message board, I am in fact resident of 225 and not a manager or someone who works in the office. There for my remark is viable since I am resident. All of the comments posted on the Google Groups Message Board were posted during the time of the transition and a comment hasn't been made since February 2007 therefor no problems have happened since then... If you really don't like living at Walden Park then move and pay for somewhere else that is worth it!
