Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2002
When I first started here, I thought it was really nice, and maybe a little too expensive, but still doable. Since then, everything has gone downhill, including a reduction in maintenance staff, reduction in security personnel, and a revolving door of workers in the management office. On top of it all, my rent has increased the maximum amount (10%) each year. My apt. started at $2000 and now they're trying to get me to pay $2335 for it, while no improvements have been made, and the overall renting market has gotten easier! (oh yeah, parking went from $125 to $140 during the same period) The owner clearly doesn't care about the building, and this is no longer a good place to live, despite it's lovely location and quality apartments.
