The apartments themselves are nice and roomy and very clean. The biggest plus is the washer & dryer in the unit. I enjoyed the first year, the tenants above me were quiet and I never heard them once. I thought the soundproofing was great here. Wrong! Those tenants moved out and I swear a herd of elephants have moved in above me. The constant pounding of feet above me head is enough for me to pull my hair out. The next year won't go by soon enough for me so I can get away from the elephants who live above me.

I understand what you mean by elephant noises. I hear them in the hall ways. We live in the top floor and sympathize with our neighbors downstairs. Since we have kids, they like to run around faster than the speed of light. Its a constant battle to get them to walk slowly. I try to keep the walking to a minimum and put the kids to sleep as early as possible so that the neighbors downstairs can have a good nights sleep. We can hear our own stomping noises so we understand. You could ask them to reduce their walking. Since I am a big guy, I try to shuffle my feet and walk slower. That seems to take care of my stomping noise. However, my family has yet to perfect it :)0). Believe me, I would rather have walking noises than someone playing their boom box all night long ( yes I went through that hell before moving to kensington ). Ask management to talk with your neighbors, they may not even realize it bothers you.

I hear what you are saying. I live on the bottom floor, and we have a B**** that lives above us and she has no conceration for other people. She has so 2 kids and she let them run back and forth all night long. It will be 1:00am on the weekend and they are still up. We have talked to management we have talked to her and they do nothing. Now the police are going to get involed. We cant live like this there is no need for it. So talking to the staff or even talking to your neighboors is not going to work. Trust me I have already been there and done that. You want it to be quite above you then that is what you have to do Call the Chelmsford PD and if the keep getting called on the same people Managment will have to do something about it. I know people are going to make noise but this lard a$$ just makes to much of it.
