Very nice apartments and very friendly staff and efficient staff. I am not mentioning their names as that would be against the review writing tips , but all 4 of them are great. We love living here. Not a single negative.

PS: Not sure why apartment ratings does not let you write two separate reviews.

These apartments are clean and washer and dryer is definitely a plus. A great indian and a Thai restaurant and a quality day care center is nearby. I have been living here for 6 months and I did not have noice problem. If anything these apartment are a little too quite.

Is the noise from 495 a problem?

No!! Atleast not in building 30.

I also live in building 30 and i can not hear any 495 traffic. The only cars that you hear sometimes on 110. The best apartments to rent are in the back facing the woods. Nice and quite! You will hear the noice from people upstairs from you.

I'm in Building 10 and can hear the traffic on 495, but like the other person said, it's not a problem. You get used to it pretty quickly. I think I noticed it my first few days sleeping in the apartment, but by now, it's just white noise to me. The noise to worry about is that from your neighbors - above you, next to you, and even below you. I've been lucky -- I have quiet neighbors on all sides. I had a noisy neighbor below me in the beginning, but they soon moved out.

I live in building 30. I can hear traffic from 495, but it's not a problem. Let me add that you will hear your neighbors if they talk out loud or listen to music. Generally it is not an issue as the majority of the residents are decent in terms of noise. You'll hear a lot of stomping noises, but that's part of apartment living. If you don't want to hear stomping noises, buy a house. As with any residence, you'll run into different kinds of people at Kensington; odd, considerate, polite, helpful and inconsiderate. I've run into all five of them. Residents tend to leave their trash and things they don't need in the lobby ( they don't leave trash in the lobby often, just belongings if they move out ). This is something that management should address unfortunately. You'll know what I'm talking about during the winter holiday season. In spite of the few negatives, there are more positives. Overall, it has been a pleasant experience. I give four stars to the office and maintenance staff. They are one of the reasons why we renewed.
