Half-assed snow removal-- never know when they?re plowing. Maintenance isn?t prompt-- need to call four or five times to get things fixed. Had to have exterminator in last year for roaches in the block. Parking is a hassle-- not enough spaces. The front buildings have younger special-needs patients, and their nurses take up our parking spaces. Only three washers and two dryers for 68 apartments-- and they?re often broken. Only has one-bedroom apartments-- old floor plan severly limits placement of furniture. No extra storage other than big closet-- no storage allowed on porch or in front or back hallway. In winter, heat often doesn?t work. Buildings are old (built in 1963)brick/cinder block, uninsulated, and windows let in drafts. Ancient stoves and washtub-type kitchen sinks. No vanity in bathroom, just a sink. Lots of settling in buildings-- many small cracks in walls and porches. You have to supply your own refrigerator/air conditioner. Rent is based on your income and goes up every year. Board of Health comes in and inspects your apartment every year. Dismal and somewhat depressing.

But I do have good news... electricity is included in the rent, AND I just saved a bunch of money on car insurance by switching to GEICO!!!
