I moved to Boston from a much quieter setting than the city could provide. I needed to be close to the city for work but also needed space since I work from home. Now that all of the amenities are open, this community is a great place to live. You don't need to worry about a separate gym membership since there is one in the main building. It is suprisingly nice with at least 6 cardio machines, 6 weight machines, free weights, and flat screen TV's to keep you entertained. They even provided a kiddy play room since there are a number of families living on site. Even the smallest 1 bedroom floor plan is very spacious with walk-in closets and lots of storage space. Washers and dryers in every unit was also a big selling point for me. I haven't had a chance to try the pool but it looks great and I can't wait til it opens in May.

As you would expect with any large apartment complex, minor maintenance issues can take time to fix but emergencies are always answered immediately. The front office is also rather busy since portions of the community are just becoming available to rent. They still have some kinks to iron out but I think once the complex is fully up and running, this will be one of the best places to live in Greater Boston. I understand the other rater's concerns but one look at Avalon Danvers and I was sold.
