When I first saw my apartment I absolutely loved it! Really high ceilings and very spacious. Those are the only good qualities however. The stove, dishwasher and fridge are from the 70's! The bathtub has mold buildup, and when I asked for a cleaning/new tub I was told it was "just stained". They did provide me with a fully re-carpeted unit b/c I refused to lease without it. I moved here in June 06 and had no problems until the winter when I began to see mice in my apt. Yes, Mice!!! I notified the apartment manager who told me this has never been a problem before but called her "contact" for treatment of the problem. After putting down glue traps we began to catch 2 mice at a time on traps (happened twice). I was constantly in the office complaining. I am starting to think the person who lived here before me moved out b/c of the rodent problem. The office manager told me that b/c of the constuction across the street there has been an increase in mice in the building. She told me her "contact" placed poison outside of the building as well, but it obviously had no effect. After her contact had been to my apartment 4 times to exterminate she told me they thought there may have been a "nest of mice" somewhere on that floor of the building which is why they are hard to get rid of. Apparently, my neighbor's problem was worse than mine (her closet had the same connecting wall as my kitchen, where the source of my problem was). The "contact" drilled holes into my neighbors wall and put poison behind the wall. Needless to say, it didn't work. I'm out of here when my lease ends. The rent price is perfect for my budget, but it's just not worth the headache!!
