I signed a lease in 2001 sight unseen. All in all I think Harbor Point was a pretty good place to live. We had a ground floor-outside door apartment and had no security problems. None of us had issues with our cars either. I LOVED the ocean front park, frequently visited it at night, and really missed it when I moved to Somerville. I also experienced more crime in Somerville than I did at Harbor Point. The worst problems seemed to be the skunks (which were everywhere at night) and some noise everynow and then. It's pretty convienent to the T and would be great for UMass students. I think it was not that bad.
