I've lived in Harbor Point since the beginning of September. I read the reviews on this website and, as an optimist, leaned more towards the good than the bad. When I first moved in, I thought everything was great! The apartment is big and it's great to have two full baths and a balcony. Being close to the water is fun and I felt relatively safe.
However, I soon came to see the dark side of Harbor Point. The walls are paper thin. I hear all bodily functions, fights and loud sex at all hours from my next door and upstairs neighbors. We have not had hot water at least 5 times since September! Everytime I call they say they're "working on it." The "health club" is a joke...the attendants are rude and the equipment is falling apart if it works at all. The air conditioning went off September 15th leaving us stifling. It is still unbearably hot in this apartment in December...we have not turned on our heat once and exist in t-shirts and shorts with our windows constantly open. The elevators are disgusting and smell on the weekends when no one cleans them. The noise from construction for their "new" apartment buildings begins at 5 in the morning...good luck sleeping if you live anywhere near it. The washers work well but the dryers are perpetually broken and dirty. Thus, people are waiting for an hour to dry their clothes.
Do yourselves a favor and find somewhere else! They are charging an insane amount of rent for an ultimately substandard residence. I will be leaving as soon as possible.
