I thought the price I was paying was for a decent place. WRONG!!! I can understand that I can pay $75 for monthly underground parking in a damp, dirty, leaky and smelly garage, but I don't understand the the differences other ppl pay for thier parking. Parking outside is a nightmare. If you do good luck. As far as the apartment itself, this place has to be made from the worst materials and construction. If it hasn't been replaced it will either fall off, break off, rust..yes rust!!! or not work. As for maintanence, good luck if you get a response in a week. A leak for a tenant above causes some ppl to come unannouced and make holes in the wall in the kitchen and restroom. You would think they could solve issues like these. Nope, instead they left the holes for 3 days.
Pay more pay less, just don't live here not worth the trouble or money. Better to pay more for something smaller or pay the same for something smaller or simliar...being next to the water is a farce.

I have to agree with the parking garage. It is very damp when rain, dirty, leak (though it hasn't happened much for the past 3 months) and smelly (mostly due to the trash bin near the elevator). I think we are in the same building. I had people coming drilling holes (in kitcken and bathroom) because a tenant below has a leak. It took them almost 1 month to get both hole filled and yet NOTHING was done to the pipe behind the wall. Because of the holes, I HAD MICE PROBLEM!!! I saw a mouse came out of the hole in the kitchen and I was so mad that I called management about the problem they cause/create and nothing was done until I went into the office in person. Once they filled the holes, they said they will come back to paint AND put back the decorative piece at the bottom of the kitchen wall. Well, guess what, I am about to move out and the paint and decorative piece aren't here yet. As for price, you can get it lower for near similar floor plan. How about $300 in difference on same building and same floor! Like my previous post, mixed feeling of pricing, bad neighborhood but "nice" complex (you don't seem many mid-rise apartment buildings with modern elevator (sometime it doen't work), carpet floor (my unit got new carpet, not sure about others), hotel-like hallway and parking garage (save a lot of time during snow storm) in the area) |
