I will sum Harbor Point up for you after living there for a year and a half.

Positives:
-Very near to UMass Boston, Shaw's, and the T if you don't have a car. Apartments are decently sized, and I lucked out and got a balcony apartment with a view of the water.
-Harbor point is nice if you walk down by the water. Great scenery, nice place for running.

Negatives:
-Car broken into and GPS stolen while I was out of town. Public safety didn't even notice my window was shattered, probably because they sleep in their cars while on duty.
-While my car was being repaired, my loaner car was towed TWICE even though I had a note in the window with my personal information and resident address. One time the car was about to be towed away and I was extorted 50 dollars so that they would leave the car alone.
-Public safety causes more problems than it solves (sent me erroneously to court...twice!)
-Maintenance came into my apartment without prior notice (and with no emergency), removed a large air conditioning vent and left it on the floor without means of putting it back. After calling the Harbor Point management office, there were no records of anyone entering my apartment. I filed a police report with Harbor Point safety, which was conveniently lost by them a few days later. I visited the Harbor Point management office, where a public safety officer told me to be quiet when I said what had happened was breaking and entering. He then replied that "breaking and entering is only when someone takes something from your apartment." And these people are supposed to be police officers! How stupid can you be!! When I threatened to call the Boston Police and stormed out of the office, public safety quickly came to my apartment with their tails between their legs and apologized. BOTTOM LINE: As far as safety is concerned, you can't even trust your own public safety officers because they are controlled by the money-hungry management office. If you plan on moving in to Harbor Point, make sure you know of a decent tenant's rights agency beforehand.
-You can hear your neighbors urinating, showering, etc.

If these things sound appealing to you, then Harbor Point is your new home! I only renewed my lease out of convenience because I go to UMass, NOT based on the positive merits of Harbor Point.
