Okay, so maybe the apartments on the very edge are a bit sketchy, and maybe some buildings are a bit sketchy, but the main section of Harbor Point is beautiful. I'm a college student, and I think that Harbor Point is amazing. They have their own convenience store with a lot of variety, their own dry cleaners, and an AMAZING view of the ocean. Okay, the rent is a bit high, but I think it is worth it. I have never had any bug problems, mice problems, neighbor problems, or problems with the office. I think that the office is very helpful, and they make things easy. The kitchens are really nice, with a garbarge disposal and a dishwasher, and there is plenty of cabinet space. We have a really large pantry in ours, and each of us have large rooms. The balconies are really nice, and it is very safe. I always see security everywhere and the main gate is always managed.
Tip for shoppers: The walk to Shaws is irritating and long. It is much shorter to walk to the UMASS campus and take the shuttle to the T. Shaws is right next to it. And if you manage to catch the #2 shuttle on the way back, they will drop you off at Harbor Point if you ask them to. I have done this many times.
All in all, I think Harbor Point is a very nice place to live, especially if you live in the main section like I do. You get what you pay for, after all.
