Our rent has gone up dramatically in the last two years and this is not the least of the problems. Rent also does not seem to follow any rhyme or reason, considering that neighbours who moved in at the same time I did pay less for larger apartments.

There is an awful problem with black mold. My bathroom constantly smell of it and in the hallway, 12' of wallpaper has fallen off several weeks ago, exposing the mold covered drywall.

The neighbors are terrible. People buzz me in the middle of the night and have tried to get into my apartment at all hours looking for other people. The police department has been by often recently on a suspicion of prostitution. There are problems with peeping toms. Nothing is ever fixed unless you want maintenance to come in when you aren't home. The tennis courts have not been functional since I moved it and have become a hangout for local teens.

Parking and guest parking is a nightmare. There are tenants who park in guest parking so they don't have to walk, forcing guests to park in assigned spots. Only one space is allowed per apartment and additional spaces up the rent price. I don't know a lot of couples who have just one car. We end up paying almost $20 extra a month in rent for the "privilege" of having two car. This year, having two cars will push us over $1,000 for a moldy one bedroom.

Management is useless and hard to reach. Messages go unreturned for days. Management is also often missing during supposed business hours. Maintenance is generally rude and unresponsive. I was informed that they could enter my apartment whenever they wanted without giving me reasonable notice.

I am incredibly sorry that I moved in here. I would and have warned people I know away from Stone Run East. Save your money, your safety, and your health and look for another place. The only thing Stone Run East has going for it is the landscaping, which I assume is where most of my rent money is going.
