I only live here cause I don't have any other options at the moment. If I could move I would in a heartbeat. You lose any and all sense of privacy. There is an elderly/retired population in sections of the property who spend their free time spying on residents and rating them out to the office. One of them went right up to my neighbors window and looked right in, this person had just moved in and they had never met before. I left my apartment to visit my brother out of state one time(day trip). I left at 4 am and when I came back they already knew where I had gone, I hadn't told anyone. That's just the tip of the iceberg.
The office management is just as bad. A lot of rents here are income based so they want paperwork on every little detail...bank accts, jobs, doctors, life insurance policies. And it never ends ,,they ask for this stuff multiple times in a one year period that I had my mom's doctor and my jobs saying they were going charge them for all this paperwork. One of my jobs couldn't send the paperwork(the person was out on medical leave) and the office threatened to evict me if I didn't get the paperwork signed anyways. They also will conveniently "loose" or "not receive" or "needs a different date" with regards to paperwork to try and screw with your rent so you have to make sure now anything sent to their office is signed for. They also will go into your apartment when you are not home. They did an inspection recently and claimed my apt smelled like dog( a dog lives here with me and its on the lease...btw the smell was the wet mop and towels). The inspection was done by maintenance and the assist. manager. They called us in the office and the general manager(who has never done any inspections or been in my apt before while I was there) said she was there and smelled it. Really...that means she went in for a non emergency reason without notification...can you say ILLEGAL''' BTW she smokes like a chimney( as well as a couple of other workers) so it makes you wonder what she was really smelling...
The list goes on and on...Take my advice DON'T MOVE TO BAY VILLAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact its probably not a good idea to move to the city of Fall River at all.
