Steer Clear!!!

Looks like a gem when you first see it (which is what I thought too, nice place to raise a family), but my family and i couldn't be more miserable. it's priced to fit the nice area of Agawam, but the walls are way too thin, the ceilings creak loud enough to wake you from a sound sleep (not to mention thin enough to let you hear the neighbors getting it on). when we moved in, we were told an exterminator comes twice a year, but i haven't seen the guy once, and i have two months left on my lease. the reason i mention this is because i have a "basement apt" ( 1/2 floor below ground), and my girlfriend and i kill 2-3 spiders daily. that's right, DAILY. that's become a bit of an annoyance. parking can be a mess, the spaces are very narrow, so you could expect a few dings on your car doors from people who just don't care about that sort of thing. the washers/driers don't work all the time, meaning they'll run, but leave your clothes wet, and with soap all over them. you need a credit/debit card in order to work them (you 'charge' your card with credits, $15 min at a time). as for the staff, the landlady can be two-faced. she's relatively nice to me, but my girlfriend will tell you another story (she complained early and often about the creaky ceilings before we knew that that is just the way things are here). the maintenance guy is a really nice guy, but someone "professional" is called in for everything! landscaping, repainting apartments (which there is so many layers of paint on some outlets and switches, they are useless). my mother has been a maintenance supervisor at an apartment complex in sturbridge (sturbridge meadows), and she makes this guy look like an elementary schooler. as far as responsiveness, people can say what they want, obviously some will have better experiences than others. this winter, i told the landlady 3 times that salt should be put down in the parking lots because my pregnant girlfriend had fallen twice, and myself twice as well. (drainage isn't the best, and lots of black ice in between the cars, combined with narrow parking spaces that you're squeezing out of your car anyways, makes for some awkward falls) overall, i give this place a D , and would strongly recommend looking elsewhere, such as sutton place apts., if you want the agawam feel. this place isn't a dive, but if you can afford to throw your money away here, i'm sure you can spend it elsewhere and actually live an enjoyable life. (plus, i'm counting the days until we move out!)
oh, and counter space in some apts, as well as storage space- suck.
