I am about to move out of Walnut Park to be closer to the Boston Commuter Rail System, but let me outline some good and bad points of my past 2 years here:

GOOD:
The complex was just purchased by the current leasing company and they have done a tremendous amount of work including new kitchen appliances, new carpets, some new siding on the outside etc.
The complex has traditionally been VERY quiet, but now a bunch of kids and teenagers (and adults who sit on the stoops all night) have moved in...I feel this is ruining the quiet lifestyle and people that have lived here. My neighbors are very courtious and I never hear TVs or Radios blaring. I hope I am this lucky in my next apartment!

BAD:
The rent has increased by almost 100.00 in the past year. There is ALWAYS some sort of construction project, or new wiring, or paving thing going on outside. I guess this is where my money is going to...either that or the landscaping guys who come twice a week and mow and use that stupid blowing machine to get rid of the grass. It is excessive to say the least.
The country like atmosphere (ie: LOTS OF TREES) have made my apartment a living hell. I get ZERO sun (not an inch at any point during the day) and the bugs have ben out of control. I have managed to air tight my screens myself and spray some bug repellent to help, but I still wouldn't think of using the deck I pay for. My particular building (4) is buried in trees and an overgrown ugly bush right outside my windows/patio making for a dirty, bug ridden and dark environment.

Overall, the units are pretty big, nice and clean and the town and area is nice. Mixed bag as far as I am concerned.
