I have lived at Bayberry Hills for over 5 years. The Flatley Co. used to own and manage the property until Oct. 2002. Since then AIMCO has owned and managed the property.
The complex has gone down hill since AIMCO took over. They are offering incentives to people to move in. This in turn has allowed some "questionable" people to move into this complex that would normally not live here. New tenants are loud and inconsiderate. They don't adhere to the complex rules, and AIMCO doesn't care to enforce them either. AIMCO only seems to care that the vacant units are rented. They don't take into account what the original tenants think. This attitude by management will drive out all of the original tenants, leaving only the new tenants. With this, the property will only go down hill further.
The management office has an arrogance that is doing them no good. They are unresponsive and don't return phone calls. Some of the original maintanence staff are still great, but with the office attitude that might not last. The gatehouse staff are always helpful. The cleaning crew has fallen off. Hallways and laundry room are dirty. They leave trash out in the parking lot.
They switched over to a card laundry system that is great, but neglected to tell the residents before implimenting the new system. The system was not operational for a few days (people didn't get cards before system went on-line). For people with babies no access to laundry is a problem. When I asked the office about this, they said they didn't know about the system before it was installed. They don't know about things going on on their own property.
We live at the 33 Dinsmore building and have watched the quality of life go down very rapidly over the past few months. It leaves us no choice but to put our $1400/mo. towards a mortgage. I will be sad to leave Bayberry but I feel we have no other choice gtiven the current circumstances. 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C

I also live in 33 Dinsmore. The poster here is exactly correct; the place has gone swiftly downhill since AIMCO has taken over. AIMCO is a large corporation with little interest in maintaining the status of life of the residents of Bayberry Hill. Maintenance is awful; staff is unresponsive; everything runs on inadequate or absolute minimum of resources. It is clear that AIMCO is all about their bottom line.
