Used to be good, less so now

I've been at what is now called Jefferson Terrace for 5 years. With the recent change in management (June '07), things have started to move steadly downhill. Rents have jumped precipitously. The new management team are all business, no compromise, take it or leave it. Everyone has been replaced from the old management team; the maintenance people are the only ones to have been retained. I can understand some transitional delays but some changes do not sit well. The new management condones moving companies hogging the elevators. When I said that this was inconveniencing my wheelchair bound neighbor, I was told to direct my neighbor to an elevator at the far end of the building. Easy for them to say! If you are looking for value, try looking further out around Marlboro. It's worth the extra commute.

I absolutely agree with your comments. I left in July after living there a year. The rent went up to 1300 for a 1 bedroom, yeah right, that is insane.
The new managers are absolutely incompetent. They claimed I owed them a month of rent when I left, only to realize I already paid it after I showed them a copy of my cashed check. They have yet to send my security deposit back and took out money for electricity I had already paid for. I would stay away from these people. Capital ran things way better.
