Edgewater WAS nice - Jefferson's LACK CLASS!

Edgewater Terrace used to be a classy place under the old management and its NOT ANYMORE once Jeffersons took over. It had class - right from the elegant, well-mannered leasing office agents to the brass etched apartment sign/name boards. Jerfferson management's trademark is "lack of class or taste" which is easily evident in the "cheap white plastic name boards" they have overlaid on the old BRASS ones by Edge water Terrace. This is their trademark attitude in everything they do at the apartment, EXCEPT for one thing - the rent!
To add to this, they seem to be in a desperate drive to get tenants and is offering apartments to anyone, just about anyone - we see all sorts of unwanted elements suddenly appearing in the apartment corridors, that make you uncomfortable - beer bottles in the parking lot, problems we never had before - THEFT, people roaming around with open beer bottles in the elevator, NO SECURITY, several cars have their windows smashed and things stolen in the middle of the night. We hear that the problem is happening in 1600 too, which is again another Jefferson acquired apartment.
Jefferson folks - If you are listening, STOP RENTING THIS PLACE TO CRIMINALS!! It is your desperate lookout for tenants which is INVITING ALL the anti-social elements into this apartment, which used to be a peacefull, beautifull elegant space under Edgewater Management. And stop pasting your cheap plastic leasing offer notices all over the place, its CHEAP..ESPECIALLY THE HUGE UGLY ONE AT THE ENTRANCE!. Show some class, folks, come out of the plastic business!

I tend to agree. There has been a mad rush to move new tenants in after they raised the rent on existing tenants who, not surprisingly, promptly moved out. Some of the new tenants are noticeably rougher, not gang types but I wouldn't be happy to have my daughter date one of them! It is still clear that management are coming to grips with managing a new property (I use the word managing in a loose sense!) but I know that a lot of us old-timers long for the previous management team who actually cared.

This complex looks like the circus is coming to town, from the balloons to the tacky signage. The hallways smell and the bottom line is the new management has totally junked up the place. They are purely profit driven. They do not care about client service. I had to re-sign because of financial issues but I can't wait to get out of here.

I couldn't agree more. We have gone from an almost perfect place to live to an undesirable one. The landscaping outside the building with the Rental Office in it is lovely and in front of the other building is usually nonexistent. The "management" is terrible. They keep no control over their vendors. For example, the carpet installers throw the carpet they have removed in valuable parking spaces. The former management took great pride and treated the tenants with respect so this is particularly sad for those of us who have been here for years.
