Nothing like feeling like a foreigner in my own country. This place stinks, literally. Hallways reek of ethnic food. Neighbor's weird smoke (it's not dope, is it cigarettes ') routinely enters my apartment. And then there's the noise ..... Loud conversations on balconies and in parking lot and din of car stereo systems makes it hard to keep bedroom window open, what a shame on the nice nights. Constant loud hum and thumping of utilities and elevator and neighbors banging around at all hours of the day and night can drive a person crazy and ruin sleep. Oh, and I mustn't forget to mention the horrible black mold on the HVAC vents which despite scrubbing with bleach comes back full force within 2 weeks. I can't imagine what's there that I can't see/get to ! For my physical and mental health, I won't be renewing my lease.
