Hasn't been a pleasant experience since AIMCO bought

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
I live in the highrise Granada and initially leased here because it was owned by Flatley Co. which had a very good reputation. Management knew at the time that I signed my lease that they were being bought by AIMCO and did not share this information with me.
It has been a relatively unpleasant experience since AIMCO bought this property.
I do enjoy my apartment itself - large kitchen, large bathroom, large closet(except that it faces a very busy and NOISY road) however; the elevator is constantly breaking down (they assured me at lease signing that it was going to be repaired or replaced within a few months - that has never happened), the hallways need new wallpaper and carpeting (which was also promised at lease signing and has not happened either)and the quality of tenant has deteriorated significantly. AIMCO also offers better deals to potential tenants than existing tenants and have been not very customer service oriented.
Additionally, they are now charging for heat which was initially included when I signed the lease.
While I do like the apartment itself, I do believe that it is overpriced for the location and the quality. Working with AIMCO management at lease renewal was VERY unpleasant and I will NOT be renewing.
