Don't waste your money From: Benny1 Date posted: 1/23/2006 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006   Pros first : Close to major highways... convenient to my work.... the gym is nice... I like the exposed brick... nice walk in closets.. i have a great view of the resevoir Cons:it costs a lot to heat your apartment. I was told that it would cost no more than $60 per month from managagement but my last bill was $137 for December. There's no thermostat so when your heat is on it's on. I have to turn my heat off when I go to work and my cat sits in a cold house. The heater is next to the cold sliding glass doors so it just blows right outside. Fire alarms go off very frequently. The elevators have smelled like piss for over a month. Last week they finally replaced the carpeting. People ditch their cars in the lot. I can count at least 10 cars that have been sitting in the same spot since our first snow on Halloween. The washer and dryers on my floor.. 1 out of 2 washers was out for over a month. 1 out of 2 dryers were out for over a month. It's 1.65 to wash.. 1.50 to dry but you have to top it off for an extra .25 for your clothes to even come close to drying. I go to a completely different floor to wash because the dryers on my floor won't dry. A lot of the tenants are filthy and the hallways smell like trash,cat litter, curry, and cigarrettes. Sometimes all at once. It's expensive for a single person to live here, HOWEVER there are lots of families that have one person on the lease and 4 people living in the house. That means more cars in the lot and more garbage and noise. The 3rd building is I believe mostly Section 8. I enjoy my apartment when I'm in it.....The hallways look like scene from "The Shining" and they usually don't smell the best. There are worse places and definately better places out there. It's an ok last resort.
