I lived in Edgewater Hills for one year (because that's all I could take) in '04-'05. I always take these reviews with a grain of salt, but every negative comment on this site about Edgewater Hills is 100% accurate.

I loved my individual apartment, but the surroundings and neighbors made the entire experience frightening and unbearable. As I think back to the time I lived there, I don't even know how to start listing the horrors.

1. Parking lots - So unsafe. People zip by at very fast speeds and I canāt count the number of disgusting comments from sketchy men I heard. My mom recently told me she worried every day I would get attacked by the people she saw in the parking lot. Also, ridiculously small spots. My car got damaged more times than I could count. One time my car even got dented by a kid throwing concrete blocks off his balcony. Iām a high school teacher, so Iām used to dealing with adolescents all day, but the kids here were just gross. The girl next door to me practically used to have sex with her boyfriend in the hallway, and kids constantly fought in the parking lots. I remember hearing loud fights laced with obscenities on a daily basis.

2. Speaking of the sketchy people, have you heard about the rapist who kidnapped that woman from a restaurant parking lot in Framingham' He lived one building down from me in EH. Iāve never felt so physically unsafe as when I lived here; every day that I went up the stairwell (more on why I couldn't take the elevator later) I worried about being sexually assaulted. Weird men used to watch me when I was at the gym (one even asked me to go in the hot tub with him) and I remember one night these people kept staring at me and my boyfriend when we were talking on the balcony. Sadly, I just got accustomed to receiving leers and hearing filthy comments.

3. You could hear through the walls in these apartments. The woman next door to me used to get into violent fights with her boyfriend. Her screams and his threats were the most horrible sounds Iāve ever heard.

4. The neighbors are just the worst ā the man downstairs from me was a psycho who somehow got my phone number (I think the management office gave him my name and he looked me up ā so awful) and used to leave threatening messages on my answering machine. He even came and knocked on my door once. He claimed I was being loud and keeping him awake at night ā like I said Iām a teacher, so there were no loud, crazy nights for me. One time he swore I had made noise all night, but I had been out of town at my sisterās house! I had to call the police to get him to leave me alone.

5. It does smell in these buildings (and definitely like pee in the elevator). People left trash everywhere and I heard rumors of bed bugs (although I never got them, thank God).

6. Management was rude and unhelpful. They tried to give me an apt. that had cat pee stains all over the carpet. I refused to move in until the carpet was replaced, but maybe they donāt have time to worry about cat pee when they have people pissing all over the elevators.

7. There were fire alarms every five minutes. I lived in the building that had the massive fire, and they didnāt fix the elevator/stairwell by the time Iād moved out (five months after the fire). Because of the damage, I had to take the stairs every day for the last five months I lived there. I remember praying that I wouldnāt be in the stairwell at the same time as the creepy guys who lived there. The place smelled like smoke forever, and they authorized these random cleaning people to come into my apt. and fix the smoke damage when I wasnāt home. I came home from school one day to find my apt. door wide open and my stuff all rummaged through.

I shudder to think of any other young women living in this place. Donāt live here if you donāt have to.

I have lived in Edgewater Hills for almost a year now and did indeed sign another year. Alot of what was said up above was true. I just mind my own business and do my own thing. In building B, I complained about the stinky elevators and they actually acted on it and replaced the pee soaked carpets!

I have lived in Edgewater Hills for 1 yr and ya know what deal with it and mind your business. Thats what happens in apartments. Why keep replacing the rug when someone would just pee on it again (if that even happened because i never smelled it). The maintenance was never a problem, very polite and helpful right away. I would recommend this place to anyone and I do.
