I moved here from out of state and I'm afraid I've made a really bad decision. When I looked at all the pretty pictures online and then took a tour of the apartment I thought I was getting a really nice deal. The girl in the leasing office was extremely nice and helpful. However the others are totally rude. On more than one occasion I've seen people in the leasing office with valid complaints such as the building shutting off the water at a different time then what was advertised. The responses I heard from the staff were appalling such as, "Well what would you like for me to do about it'", and "You've interrupted me twice while I'm talking to you so I'm done." Horrible horrible customer service.
Furthermore, I had all these extra charges added to my rent for having a nice new renovated apartment. Yet, this weekend I discovered a leak in my ceiling that is dripping through my kitchen cabinets and all over my counter. I had to throw out a lot of groceries I had just bought. I called the on call maintenance and the lady took down my message and said maintenance would call me back in 4 minutes. 2 hours later I heard nothing. I called back and then I got a call from maintenance. The guy said he was at another site and would call me as soon as he got to my site to see what the problem was. I waited at my apartment that whole evening and never got a call back and he never came. So now I had to call the apartment for a THIRD regarding a leak that affecting my personal belongings as well as ruining the cabinetry that they just installed.
The elevators are always trashed and some of the people who live there are definitely sketchy. At all hours of the night I hear loud music. I can hear everything going on in the rooms surrounding me. Notice I didn't say the rooms next to me. I can hear what's going on in rooms ACROSS THE HALL!! The common areas are always trashed too. I know that this isn't necessarily the fault of the staff but I think a bit more screening could go into who's living there because it's pretty much ghetto. If my rent were under $1,000 a month I'd find this acceptable but the truth is you're paying a lot for "luxury" apartments as they say and there's absolutely nothing luxurious about them.
So I'm in the process of seeing if I could just save myself money by breaking my lease and getting the hell out of there. I'm really disappointed by this site and after 6 weeks of living here I'm ready to pay the extra money to live somewhere else. I've lived in many apartments before and this is one of my worst experiences so far.
