When I was first deciding which apartment to choose in the area, I was hesitant because of the awful reviews on this site. I chose it anyway, knowing that I might have to deal with what everyone was talking about, but loving the design of the apartment nonetheless. The truth is that the apartments has exceeded my expectations. I love the design of the apartment, everything was clean and actually closely resembled the model, unfurnished.
The only thing that really annoyed me was when I was moving in, the elevator would only stay open for a short amount of time and some kind of alarm would then go off. Everything is quiet, even when I hear people in their rooms in the hallway, I cannot hear them in my apartment. I'm not sure what everyone's complaint is with the heat, but I honestly haven't had to turn my heat on in almost 2 weeks, I'm not sure if I'm getting my neighbors'/hallway heat or what. Having a laundry room in every floor is really convenient. The management staff was nice to me when I first moved in, and are still nice to me when I call with a question. I haven't had to deal with maintenance yet, so I'm not sure how they are. Parking spaces are a bit tight, but there is plenty of light. The elevators do have a smell to them, but I think it might be the cleaner they use. Although I've only been living here for a few months, things may change in the near future, but for now I see myself here for a while.
I just graduated college, and this apartment is a great transition from campus living to real world living. Although I don't doubt people's dissatisfactions, you have to realize that people who are unhappy with something will get their voices heard through complaints or bad ratings, and those who are happy may not feel the need to voice that. 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn

Yeah right you are probably an employee from the apartment complex or you are paying paid to say all this! What a bunch of malarky! Phony!

Sorry, but it doesn't say much that you consider JH an upgrade from dorm/campus living (congratulations for finishing college, btw). Also, I wonder if you're living in the A building, where they try to keep things nicer because that's what prospective tenants are more likely to see.

What people dont realize is that its not just about your apartment. Yes the apartment I live in is very well done and all that. I do live in Apartment A. But you need to look closer. There are small problems everywhere. And you need to realize this isnt like college. Its NOT SAFE to even walk down your hallway here. If you are giving this a yes, because of just what you see in your apartment I understand. But you need to think of all of the surroundings. Do you feel safe? Do you feel well taken care of? Do you think the maintenance is there for you? The real issue is that you havent had to call them. But wait until you do. You'll understand. Look closely and don't just post about what you can see inside your box. Thats not what is important here. You are living in a place owned by someone else. And when you do that your apartment really isn't yours. But you are paying for all of those comforts. Do you think you are getting what your paying for? Including all of your surroundings? I feel aweful I was reading all the others where they say they have bugs! and rats! I don't have those but I believe them! The people at the office are HORRIBLE. They sit there and do NOTHING they never help with any issue they smile and say they will but they don't live here. So they don't care. I bet you not one of the people in the office live here.

Sorry, I thought my first comment posted. I live in B building and I never said it was an upgrade, I said it was a good transition. I'm not saying everything is gorgeous, because it is far from that. I'm just saying I don't regret my decision to live here (which I'm saving a couple hundred dollars in a one bedroom rather than a studio elsewhere). I do look outside my box, and I actually do feel safe. I have seen some sketchy folk walking around but I'm sure you'll get those at other places too. Like I said, I don't doubt other people's complaints are legitimate, such as the bugs and the rats. I'm just sharing with others what I know and how I feel. I have mixed feelings about the office staff, sometimes they can be really nice and helpful but sometimes I feel like they are putting up a huge front and really hate their jobs and take it out on the residents. Who knows. Maybe my opinion will change after I've been here for a longer time and/or when I have to deal with maintenance.
