Very inflexible management

Management is very bad, maintenance staff has nice people who try to help. However the overall arragement is not recommended as there is no flexibility in extending/terminating your lease. Any other place world would allow breaking of lease with some penalty (reasonable), but these people are a bunch of extremely greedy people who would just not understand your situation and would try their best to make you stay. If you break the lease you have to give a notice, give back the keys, forget about your deposit (one month rent about $1250), pay $300 for cleaning the apartment and also arrange to get someone to rent your apartment after you leave, otherwise you keep paying the rent till the end of your lease period unless it is re-rented. They don't terminate the lease even if you give them a notice 3 months or more in advance. In short move only if you are sure that you will never get into a situation where you might have to break your lease. Also if you have to extend the lease they just have one option which is 1 year. If you would want to extend the lease by 1,2 3 or even 6 months, they will not agree and would harass you into signing 1 yr lease contract. If you are not really prepared to leave the apartment in few days, you have no choice but to sign another 1 yr lease.
No other place I have ever seen is so inflexible about people trying to move. So be ready for any situation. In other places you would normally give a month's notice (at max 2 month's notice) and maybe a month's deposit but you are free. Here you are just trapped if your lease is not over and you want to leave.

Few more things:
1) Floors/walls are paper thin, so if your kids play and you have someone living below, don't even think about moving there!
2) You are not allowed to hold parties in the common area, so don't plan to celebrate your kid's birthday party (even if in peak summer) in the lawn next to the pool. If you do be ready to face the property manager who is an extremeny rude person.
3) Pool is big and nice, but was closed for 50% of the days this summer.. due to XYZ reasons.
