Know what you're getting into. This is an older complex so it's not the most modern. My pet peeve is poorly fixed electrical plug outlets. They are not bolted to the wall and come forward when you pull out plugs!
However, the "apartment homes" as they call it on the sign are fairly large. My one bedroom apt. is about 900 sq ft. Most of my immediate neighbors have lived here for almost ten years. It's nice each building is divided into four sections so you only have eight households sharing a hall. Each first floor apt has a patio area and many people garden their areas. The most unusual thing about the entire complex is the lawns/grounds areas. They are very large. It's very pretty in winter.
Heat's included in the rent which is great. The air conditioning is not central so many people have to add bedroom units, although I deal with it by directing the cool living room air into the bedroom.
The walls are thin, but I have no complaints about my neighbors. If you're not watching TV you can tell if you're neighbor is, but if your TV is on you can't hear anything unless people are in the hall outside your door.
Lots of families with kids around. Very safe, lots of people have no curtains on their sliding glass doors! But since I'm a single female, I put curtains up. (had to do this myself since the newly renovated apt did not have this) Appliances were replaced before I moved in.
