My wife and I first moved in together senior year of college. Longview is now the fourth place we've lived since then, and we absolutely love it.

We've been there for just about a year now. We were able to get a special on rent about $200/month less than the advertised price, which made it much more affordable. I would have hesitated to move in if that discount wasn't available.

We are on the third (top) floor of a newer building. The apartment layout (Willow) is fantastic - a big open living room connected to the dining area and kitchen make the apartment seem massive. Plus two full baths, which is sweet.

Due to the fact that our building was new, I don't have a single complaint about anything in there. All the appliances work well, and obviously there are no scuffs on the wall or bad carpet smell.

Noise is pretty much non existent. This building is built in a way that every apartment has two walls facing the outside, and one facing the hallway, meaning you only share one wall with your neighbor - and that's the kitchen wall. Then we're on the top floor. Besides the loft and cathedral ceiling bonuses, I will never, ever live below people in an apartment building after our previous horrible experiences.

Management has been extremely attentive with our small issues. The main manager (Marjorie') is strictly business, and I wouldn't want to do something to upset her, but besides that she's been fine. There used to be a wonderful girl, Mary, who worked in the office when we first moved in, but she moved up in the company. The new girl there is just as friendly though.

I honestly have no clue what the smell people talk about is, but I'm guessing it was an issue in the other buildings, so I can't really comment about that. They did replace some kind of water filters that ended up making our water much softer (better on the pipes but takes longer to get soap off your hands).

I feel very safe here. The only crime I heard of was some kids taking GPS's last year, but they got caught. Lots of well-to-do families here so I'm sure that helps.

Parking is decent, but I think it can really vary depending on the apartment you're in. The 15 or so spaces in front of our place fill up by the evening, but there's plenty of parking nearby that only adds 10 seconds to our walk. Only thing you have to watch out for are the jerks who park right in the middle of the road to get out of their car and check the mailboxes.

My biggest complaint, which isn't the fault of the apartment complex, is that Georgetown sucks. They have two mediocre sub places and an overpriced market. Luckily, you're literally two minutes from 95, which gets you to the Danvers shopping area in about 10-15 minutes, or up to awesome Newburyport in 15. It's kind of annoying to have to get on a freeway to get anywhere though.

This rating was so carefully written. I would'nt doubt that (Marjore) the no class manager their must be so desperate that she or she had someone write this rating. Nice try (Miss Desperate). If your still there managing, then the place is still in TROUBLE.

Yes, I'm sure an apartment manager would definitely include parts about how much the area sucked and mention car thefts. But if you want to think it was written by the manager, go ahead.
