I lived at Pine Brook Place prior to the renovations in 2000. During my lease, I didn?t encounter any problems. My only complaint is the parking situation. One permit was issued per apartment. The low income housing on the next block didn?t cause any concern. The Haverhill Police Department patroled the area frequently, which made it feel safe. Overall, the complex was clean and nice. Convenient to Route 495 -- 30 minutes to Boston (without traffic, of course), 10 minutes to Salem, NH and 30 minutes to Portsmouth, NH. Overall, not too bad! I have certainly seen worse.
