I lived at Pine Brook Place for one year, it was the worst experience of my life. There were low life scumbags everywhere, there were parties every night, the grounds were filthy, the office staff was rude, my car was broken into, the mailboxes were ripped out of the walls, the front door was smashed (it was glass) there were fights in the hallways and the hallways always had trash and beer bottles in it. It also always smelled of marijuana. All types of creepy people went in and out all the time. I think drugs were being dealt in my building. I lived there with my young son, and I was physically ill from the anxiety of living there. I didn't leave my aparmtent after dark. It was AWFUL. The worst thing that ever happened, was a MAN DIED in his apartment in late December. Notices piled up on his door about his overdue rent, yet no one even checked on him (he was elderly also). They didn't check on him until mid-January when the smell of the rotting body was in the hall. Then they had to come in wearing HAZMAT uniforms to clean the apartment and empty his belongings, including the mattress he died on!
Now that I have left, they are trying to charge me for carpet repairs. These people will do anything to make some money. You have to be careful when you move out, they will charge you for ANYTHING. They are charging me for a stain, that could easily be cleaned. They are the absolute worst place I have ever seen, heard about or lived at. If you value your enjoyment of life, DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER LIVING HERE. IT looks much nicer when they show it to you. After you move in, you are STUCK.
