avalon at lexington is worst rental i've ever lived in. shoddily built, chronic problems with flooding in apartments and public buildings, issues with electrical circuitry, carpets fraying; blinds, tile floors, toilets, poorly installed needing frequent repair - if you can get it. management generally ignores tenant's concerns, but is quick on the draw when it comes to their collecting $. ventilation installed improperly, couldn't uniformly heat or cool apartment. other tenants had no heat for first 3 weeks of winter; no a/c first few weeks of summer. toxic pesticide sprayed with no warning and the treated areas were either not marked or not marked adequately.
water/sewage bills outrageous, but the local public water/sewage utility is not used.
moved out last month. at my final inspection i was told everything was in satisfactory shape; but 2/3's of my security deposit was held by avalon for fabricated 'damages.' plus, they withheld my final water bill thru 7/31 (payment due in september)from my apartment security deposit despite a $400 retroactive refund due for my overpayment 10/07 through 7/31/08.
