Renters-definitely beware, no exaggerations! I have unfortunately made the poor choice of signing a lease at two Avalon communities, hoping that the clientele in Lexington would demand/require better service. Wow, was I wrong. I can't stress the accuracy of the previous comments...these places look aesthetically beautiful from the outside, but they are built poorer than the clubhouse I built for my 6 yr old niece!!! Outside from jokes, I have had incidents where I was closing my blinds and the whole thing came crashing down despite the fact that I had only been there for a couple weeks, and the building was brand new. Perpetual water leaks, hinges falling off closet doors, rugs folding up, rents that should buy you a penthouse in manhattan, exorbitant water bills....in NEW buildings...I swear my entire summer vacation I was awoken by backhows and construction at 7am trying to re-do the roof on my building for leaks...this was daily for at least 1 month... To be honest, I don't even call maintenance anymore. It's more of a waste of my time as it takes them days to attend to issues, and they keep happening anyways. I figure I will be gone soon enough so why waste precious time. It is certainly NOT TIME WELL SPENT HERE!!!!!!!!! It is terrible...but I do have to give them props to their marketing people...they make ya fall for the glitz every time..even me. I guess as they say, "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me"....NEVER AGAIN. Please renter beware.
