Let me begin by saying that the majority of the negative reviews posted about this property are inflated and out of proportion. Literally everyone has a preference for a particular restaurant, television show or music choice, regardless of preference no one can be satisfied to perfection in every regard, hence the reason you try to find a balance of what you can live with and the requisites you absolutely can't live without. With that said we have lived here approximately 8 months and we went through the usual madness associated with moving. A shower head that needed to be tightened, adjusting the hot water balance to my better half's excruciating standards etc. But I must say that the maintenance personnel in the building were absolutely excellent and friendly, additionally they would frequently ask on their own if we were ok while grabbing the door or assisting us with bringing bags into the residence. When we initially moved in I was not that impressed with the property manager of the time, however I have nothing negative to say in regards to her with the exception (that she seemed to have numerous other priorities other than the building - which in fact she did) otherwise she was friendly and attentive. A basic rule of fact is that a company is only as good as the employees it uses to carry out its functions. I am happy to report that in the last few months there has been a management change and a strict abidance by the policies that were listed in the lease when we signed it.
1.) Parking is now pass enforced (no pass you get towed)
2.) The entrance foyer is monitored by a closed circuit camera
3.) Security guards and or staff patrol the grounds 24 hours a day
4.) If possible maintenance has improved with quicker follow up and additional staff
5.) The dog areas are cleaned and raked with greater frequency than before (daily)
6.) The property manager is friendly polite and more importantly a professional and she treats residents of the building accordingly, she also makes herself available at almost any hour of the day or night to personally follow up on issues, Kudos to her

In closing the building itself I find attractive very high ceilings, solid hardwood floors, an excellent HVAC system and some really awesome neighbors we are pet enthusiasts and the majority of the residents in the building have pets and those that don t borrow a neighbors.

Lowell MA in and of itself like most cities has its issues however very few of them find there way to the building, you occasionally have your loud revelers or music system that is turned up to loud, I have experienced this in million dollar condos and even in Boston's high rent districts, nothing to make a case out of. Overall I have tried to give a balanced opinion of the property. In our opinion a rather nice place to live.

In response to your # list:
1.yes,someone moved in and parked their u-haul after and it got towed.....yet during the folk festival they stand out there and sell every one of OUR available parking spaces, raking in hundreds of dollars. what did they do with that money?
2.)give me a break.
3.)again, give us all a break.
4.)the maintenence staff here are the greatest, i wonder how much college st. pays them? are they treated well? i get alittle suspicious when i see one cleaning person for an entire 135 unit bldg. (tip well this x-mas,they deserve it.)
5.)i think im going to throw -up.first when i read your review, then when i walk the grounds and yes sometimes the hallways.
6.)yes, the property manager is friendly and polite and more importantly, she is leaving.(yes folks, manager # 8???) many of these reviews were written exspecially for her.
In closing, the building itself is very attractive and has some wonderful qualitys. but come on people, lets get real.everyone please, if your going to write a review, make it honest make it helpful to others trying to find a decent, safe and affordable place to live.MOST IMPORTANT!!! if you have a problem go to management first, or right to college st. or the city or police.if enough peole complain about something , theyll probably DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT !!! please everyone,
dont just come on this site and bad mouth without trying to fix the problem first. In our opinion, could be a rather nice place to live but the free coffee and muffins just arent doing it for us anymore. lets hear from everyone.
