I love my apartment. I love the high ceiling, bay windows, and hardwood floors. Everyone is really nice, the manager is great! I think the parking is awesome!
One thing that I haven't got used to was the dog situation. I LOVE animals,I do have a cat myself, but the dogs have gotten out of control. Every day/night my neighbors dog barks for hours, because NO ONE is home! One serious issue I have seen also, is letting dogs run up and down the hallways with NO leash! It makes me nervous when I go down to the gym, and a 95lb. dog is running down the halls with their owner. If their is leash laws for bringing your dog outside, their NEEDS to be one for inside as well. If I've known that you can have any size dog you want in the building I would have not moved in. Up to 30-40lbs. is enough...nevermind a 110lb. pit bull.
One other issue I have, that is absolutly discusting, is that sometimes it does smell like dog poop in the hallways. I mean, what do you expect when you have a HUGE dog home by itself all day when your at work, it's going to have to go to the bathroom. I have seen dog poop on the floor many times when I go to the gym. It's really unsanitary and gross.
I love my apartment otherwise, but I will be looking for a new apartment when my lease is up.

Lived here?

I think this review is 80% crock, 20% valid. I've lived here since July 15th...I have one of those "big scary dogs" (actually, she's a 50 lb, 6 month old puppy who will grow to be 75 lbs). The cynophobia in this post irritates me to no end. Maybe you should have done your due diligence before moving in?

I am one of those people who take my puppy out the gym occasionally... The valid concern in this post is the poo that has been in/near the gym on 2 seperate occasions. It's disgusting & the owner who lets their dog do that is disgusting. Yet, here I am, a responsible dog owner (as is the majority of the owners I've met in this building) who walks my dog on a leash, out the door, having NEVER had my dog poo inside the building. The "big scary dogs" are not the problem here...I have seen the poo that's left in the gym area, and it's certainly not the size of one of those "huge dogs" you're scared of...it's small, which means it comes from a small dog.

In my time living here, I've seen two pets off-leash in the hallways. One is a 2 month old mini pinscher who could fit in one of my hands...the other is one of your beloved...a ~cat~ that someone lets out occasionally. Being allergic to cats, you don't see my crying about it...because I know that sometimes owners just want to let their pets have a little more freedom.

One last thing, I have NEVER seen a pitbull in our building. I know lots of the dogs, considering I've got a puppy. Every "big scary dog" I've seen in leashed...and I've NEVER been scared of any of them...they're all very sweet and affectionate and not the least bit people-aggressive.

So far, I've enjoyed my experience in this building. That building manager is great - I noticed you also think she's very nice. Did you know that she's also an owner of one of those "big scary dogs"?

To those who read this review: Don't let this person's cynophobia and exagerations fool you into checking it out. Every dog I've met is a sweetheart, I've never met a pitbull in our building & I've yet to see any threatening animal off-leash. I've never smelled poo in the halls and only twice have I seen poo in the gym, and it's cleaned up as soon as it's reported to management. THAT is a much more balanced assesment of the pet situation in our building.

cynophobia? no pitbulls? are you blind? what is the word for "fear of the truth?"

There are no pittbulls in the building, a couple of american bull dogs and some smaller mixes, but no pitt bulls, i know for fact.

Regarding the last comment from golden06. This past evening, a pitt bull was running free in the parking lot and approached my dogs and the dogs of other residents. The owner of that dog, a resident of the building, clearly stated that his dog was a pitt bull after coming over to put the dog on a leash and returning into the building. Is this the next thing that management plans to put residents of the building through? First the tow truck gestapo to harass our visitors, and now off-leash pitt bulls in the parking lot? But no worries, right? Management will continue to do what they do best, plant their thumbs firmly up their arses and do nothing.
