After I'd been at 305 Dutton Street a few months, I was talking with another resident about the building. He asked me how I liked it, I said it was fine. He said, "You just wait...at first it was fine for me, too, but give it a little bit and you'll see." And he was right!
Let's see: Parking lot is a MESS Towing is OUT OF CONTROL Dog feces are ALL OVER Heating is EXPENSIVE Gym is a PAIN TO GET INTO Security is a JOKE Walls are THIN - I heard a neighbor's music while I was in my living room, and this person lives two doors down from mine! We don't even share a wall, but it came through! Crazy.
Managment - especially the upper management at College Street in CT - is clueless and apathetic. The building is NOT as "secure" as they make it out to be. The "security gaurd" doesn't do an awful lot. People unlock the door and let in someone who is not a resident w/o thinking - and the Security does NOTHING. There have been thefts in the building. Apartments are OVER PRICED for the city. I'm getting out ASAP.
I give them credit, they put on a good front. But once you've been living here, you'll be weary of the infernal "memos" and stripping away of amenities.
