I When I first moved to Lowell a few years ago from the city, I moved into MassMills within the first year of being in Lowell. The place was beautiful! I lived in the 100 building and I had a lovely apartment; we even received champagne from management upon our moving in! My personal experience with the office staff was great, I never had a problem with parking for me or my guest; the pool, hot tub, and the gym was great! I lived there for 3 years. I had to move because the rent was very high. I cried when I had to leave. I'm back again, 3 years later and I have another fabulous apartment, I'm in the other bldg now.
Now I speak to those who have had a bad time living here. I have made a few observations...
There's nothing wrong with the management, there's nothing wrong with the building, there's nothing wrong with the maintainance crew and there's nothing wrong with the amenities. You know what's wrong' It's the quality of people that now live here.
When I lived here before, the rent was sky high, which kept out the riff-raff. I loved it that way! It was great that way!
Of course there were a couple of section 8 families that were there because it's the law and you can't really do anything about it. They also were riff-raff.
Just a side thought...I never thought people on section 8 that have a whole bunch of kids and boyfriends that live with them that live off my tax money and don't work a day of their lives deserve to live in a nice place that I choose to live in and pay a fraction of what I have to work so hard every day to pay for. But, that's the law...
As I said before, I'm here again and the rent is a little cheaper. I find now, the trash is never in the chute where it belongs, it's in the hallway. It the riff-raff that lives here.
The guest parking is crowed. Why' Because the riff-raff that live here, might be on the lease, but they have other people living with them on the sly. Again, not a good quality of people that live here now.
I saw mice run in and out of my apartment, but it's because of the riff-raff that leave trash in the hallways and who knows what their apartments looks like.
If there is any vandilism here, it's the riff-raff that live here who hang with other riff-raff. They are not used to living in or having anything nice so they have no appreciation for anything. These are what you might also call "ghetto rats".
If laundry is being stolen, again, it's the ghetto rats that don't have the money to buy the nice things your washing, so they steal it.
So the point to my ranting is... IF YOU ARE HAVING A BAD EXPERIENCE WHILE LIVING HERE, IT'S NOT THE COMPLEX, IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S NOT MANAGEMENT, IT'S THE RIFF-RAFF AND GHETTO RATS THAT LIVE HERE. BLAME THEM!!!

I do not live in this building but I have to say that I am very angered at the way this reviewer refered to people living on Section 8. Not once did the reviewer refer to them as real people. Instead, he or she decided to use the words "Riff-Raff" and "ghetto rats." They are people too even though they do not have the same living standards as you have. Please consider changing the way you view them. It just hurts us more as a society to have name calling and dehumanizing.

I do not live at these apts but I am looking at them I am currently on welfare and I would be on section 8 if I moved in and I resent that you are referring to me as Riff Raff, I am a single mother of a four month old little girl I take care of her during the day and Im going to school to be a nurse at night my life is all about my daughter and my education. I am 22 and I am doing the best I can. I am clean, I do not steal peoples clothes because I could have them if I wanted on my own. These people that you are referring to are just lazy stupid people not everyone on section 8 is like that. Also, just to add my best friends mother gets section 8 she has 5 children works over 40 hours a week standing on her feet all day and has thyroid disease and on the only time she has off takes care of her grandchildren all the time, but because she lost her husband to cancer she needs a little help so you need to adjust your attitude we are not all as lucky as you!!!!

It is true that alot of people who are on welfare really need it and work hard, but it seems like many of the people on welfare don't work or try to advance themselves at all. Just look at the not so nice areas in Massachusetts like in the acre section Lowell, most of those people are on welfare and get all of the funding for new parks and so on but a year after it is built the park is falling apart. If they actually beautified an area in Belvediere (where most of the tax money comes from) then it would stay nice. Point proven by the playground at the Reily school which was build by private funds and 10yrs later still looks beautiful, but in a year the Stoklosa school's playground will be marked with vandilism.

This assesment is absolutely true about the riff raf. The manangment here sucks, kathy is a -----. Furthermore, the scum of the world live in this building creating a stench that will inevatably make your appt. smell like fish and curry. People that are brought up living like trash can not function in an atmosphere where they are no longer surrounded by it, and that is the case here. I hate this place more than anywhere I have ever lived and would suggest to anyone never to live here. We have had mice problems, cars being towed, the heat stays on until JUNE (YES HEAT IN THE WALLS UNTILL JUNE!!), the pool is alwasy green, hot tub was broken for two months,
