Think twice before renting

I moved into Massmills Apts in mid June 08. I rented a truck to move my furnishings from Worcester to Lowell. After I unloaded this truck, I parked it in the lot so I could unpacking in my apt. Next thing I know, my truck is being towed out of the lot. I tried to explain to the apt security guard but he didn't care. I had to pay $50 for the tow truck driver to release my truck in the lot.

In mid to late Sept, the apt complex turned off all the Air Conditioning and activated the heating system. The temperature inside the apt was around 80 degrees even with the windows open. Tried to get Management to activate the AC, but they wouldn't. I then had a petition for residents to sign to get the AC back but management ripped it down. It's like a sauna in everyone's apt.

I've never seen a moving truck towed, maybe you had a pickup? Regarding heat, they usually turn the heat on when the first cold spell hits. It's still always quite unpleasant when that first cold spell passes. However, in this case I heard the heat got turned on so early because the AC in the 100 building broke a few weeks ago. They should just shut off heat & A/C, but I guess they figure it'll turn cold soon anyways (in the meantime it's certainly unpleasant; you should put a few fans in the windows).

In all fairness, I really don't know if "Kuroyama" is the Manager of this apt complex. I should also mention that the Manager, Catherine, really is a nice person that is most likely doing what she's told by the corporation that owns this complex. She's also kindof a hottie :)

I've lived at Massmills for eons, and it's really NOT up to Catherine or the management company as to when they turn the a/c on and off. Unfortunately, it's a Massachusetts LAW! Their hands are tied as to when they are allowed to turn it on and when they are required to turn it off. I wish they DID have control.
