Forget security deposit

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2004
I stayed in 719 Princeton in apartments 1, 11
and 16 for nearly 3years 8 months and all I
had was bitter memories. I'm glad that I've
moved out from there..
First when I moved in Apartment 1, it flooded
two times and ofcourse they came and cleaned
but they had to remove the carpet and run the
huge drier for whole day for 2-3 days (both
times). Lots of my furniture got soaked so
I moved to apartment 11 (which was single
bedroom & only one available). Since I wanted
a two bedroom I moved to apartment 16. They
deducted $550 from my deposit for the move
for cleaning kitchen, carpet etc., etc., (
you find a single small scratch, they will
change the whole part and charge it for you).
I later found out that most of the parts
would be new since they charge from their
previous tenants.
When I moved out of 16, they had charged me
$430 for cleaning fridge, carpet and changing
kitchen hood. ( It would be very rare if they
charge only for carpet cleaning). And all
along 3.8 years stay there, I could never
use the washer/dryer because you may never
know when they will stop working. (I had to
take off all wet clothes and dry them myself
nearly two times and it sucked). If you ask
why I stayed for 3.8 years, the reason being
I could stay without lease (most of the time)
Also parking is a huge problem if you have
more than two cars.
I should certainly say that the maintenance
was good and I had to hardly call them
(That's because they change everything when
someone leave the apartment!!).
I would recommend this to anyone who wants
to forget their security deposit and who
could live with just single car park. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS
