We visited this apartment as prospective tenants. The person who was supposed to show us the apartment was 45 minutes late. I wouldn't have minded if he had asked us to reschedule the appointment. But instead he kept saying over the phone that he would be there in "just a few minutes," so we kept waiting until we were very late for our next appointment. There is no lobby, so we had to wait in front of the building all this time. I would have expected him to at least apologize when he finally arrived, but instead he just muttered "thanks for waiting" and went on as if nothing had happened.
He seemed completely unconcerned with us and was eating and texting and talking on his cell phone the whole time while he showed us around. He didn't smile and barely looked at us throughout the tour. His attitude seemed to say, "this is what it is, and if you don't like it, that's too bad". If this is how management treats you when you want to rent from them, what must they be like after you've signed the contract' We visited about 10 other similarly-priced places in Boston and the leasing people ranged from nice to extremely nice; we haven't encountered anything even close to this anywhere else! I can't imagine why anyone would want to pay the price of a luxury apartment only to be treated like trash.
I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because the building was new and clean and seemed well built. But it's nothing special; the rooms are very small and the whole place shakes whenever the subway passes by. And the management's attitude is really unacceptable for an apartment complex that markets itself as "luxury".
