One word: SUCK!!! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 2/3/2004 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004   1. There are mouse problem. I have saw it on the first floor and thought it was just field mice, until I have the mouse in my apartment. The guy who put the mouse trap told me he get called in a few times a month. There are roaches too. I planned to move out and got screwed. See #2. 2. My lease was up and because of the mouse, I decided to move out. The person worked in the rental office, Kiely Van Voorhis, told me since I do not know if I can another place immediately, I can transfer to a month to month lease with the follow conditions: i. $150 on top of my rent. That's acceptable. ii. There is only 30 days notice instead of 60 days. iii. I pay pro-rated if I leave before the month ends. When I found another place before my annual lease (not the monthly lease) ends, and went back to her to give them 30 days notice, she said my monthly lease has not started yet so I cannot give them 30 days notice. She was the one who talked me into signing the monthly lease with the condition that I can get out of the lease as long as I give them 30 days notice. I speciafically asked if I give them notice on the 15th, then I can move out on the 15th next month. She said yes. And now, she said it was just an example. 3. And guess what' Now I paid the full month plus $150, they sent me my deposite and deducted $84 with desciption "MTM/Short Term" I still have to call and ask what is that' 4. On top of all the cooking smell, dog peeing everywhere, people do not belongs to the building, car stolen and break in, elevator not working over half a year, the fire alarm goes off like your daily alarm clock! Since I moved in, on average, there is more than 1 fire alarm went off. And note this is not kids pulling prank. They are real fire alarm. Talked to the management, they said they do not know about them and has no control of it. Someday, the fire is really going to break out. 5. Yes, I hear my neighbour making baby, talk on the phone, TV, you name it.
