Not a good choice

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003
The apartments are Cliffside Commons are listed at "luxury apartments", however they fall short of that description.
The walls in between the apartments are paper thin. It's very easy to hear anything going on in the apartment next to you. There are no acoustic panels between the apartments and the sounds from the hallways is unbearable at times. Prior to the drop in rental rates, the building was fairly quiet. After the rates dropped and "anybody" could move into the building, the hallways are now filled with loud "kids".
The fire alarms goes off on a frequent basis. Often times it is someone pulling a false alarm. Other times it is tripped by someone burning food and allowing the smoke out into the hallway.
Lately there have been quite a few cars being burglarized in the parking lot. Although management tries to keep this very quiet, there are quite a few of these incidents. The locals realize this is a place with more up-scale vehicles and virtually no security. I was told that security will not react to anything, that they are only here to keep people out. I told them about something one night and the lady patrolling the lot barely spoke English. She had no idea what I was talking about and made no effort to do anything about it.
The building isn't as clean as it used to be and the management seems to be on a continual rotation. As soon as someone new comes in, they are gone in a matter of months.
I would not recommend this apartment complex.
