I lived at Cliffside Commons for 1.5 years and just recently moved out. I didn't really have any problems while living there, other than being a little concerned about car break ins (which I saw about 5-6 in my 1.5 years there) and the type of people that were coming and going made me a little nervous. On the bright side, the location is really good, just off route 1, and the building was sound proof. I never once heard the people above me or beside me, not once. That is very very very rare to find, so Cliffside did a good job building this place. And maintanence was very friendly and always on top of everything. The office staff are polite (most of the time). A lot of reviews have said the staff is rude, but I think that if you go in the office with a bad attitude, you should expect to get one back, so it's all about how you approach them. Also, our heating bill was very low because the apartments hold the heat very well. Most of the time we never even had it on.

The apartments are fine, but nothing special. The baseboards are plastic, the appliances are getting a little old and are low-grade, as is the carpet, the windows collect a lot of moisture in the winter and sometimes that led to mold. We recently moved to a very nice place with crown molding, top of the line appliances, etc. and realized what we've been missing. But if you are just looking for basic, Cliffside is fine.

About security, every night I came home around 9 PM, he was sleeping in his truck. What a waste that was. And the other security gaurd is about 85! So beware of that. Also, I was told by a police officer that there are frequent domestic assaults at the complex, although I never heard or encountered one.
