Bad staff and policies demand too much from renters

I have lived here for 5 months now in a 1 bedroom apartment. I have signed a 7 month lease and now they want to me pay $250 more per month if I renew a 6 month lease. Even if I sign a 1 year lease the rent is increased by $200 per month. On the other hand, the apartment has very mediocre amenities based on which they ask for this high rent. The maintenance people are very efficient but the office lady has got some serious attitude problems.
They showed me the swimming pool and the bubble bath pool (which was out of order) before I signed the lease. Now my lease is about to expire but the pool is still out of order. Most of the times, the elevator malfunctions and the intercom doesn't work half the times. They have never fixed these issues but still want higher rent. 1680 per month is not worth for this 1 bedroom apartment just because of the proximity to T. There are better places than this if you are ready to walk for less than 5 minutes.
