I have lived in Granada Highlands since September 2005, and quite sincerely feel it is the best apartment I have ever lived in! Not only is the 2-bedroom apartment I live in very spacious and well-equipped w. air conditioning in every room, a dishwasher, Venetian blinds (they come w. the unit), but you have the wonderful amenities of a Business Center, fully equipped exercise room, game room, swimming pool, squash and tennis courts, putting green and on-site dry cleaning and a restaurant and convenience store. What more could you ask for! The MBTA bus stops directly in front of my door; it takes you directly into Boston via either the Orange or Blue Lines of the MBTA. My apartment has sliding glass doors onto a spacious balcony with a gorgeous view (4th floor). The buildings are 8 stories high affording a great sea breeze as the beach is less than 4 miles away. The bedrooms are really large with enough room for a complete bedroom set and plenty of walking space and roomy closets. All modern appliances in kitchen-even closet in kitchen. You won't feel cooped up in these apartments, believe me! And there's plenty to do around the grounds. We have a Social Director who plans parties at holidays, get-togethers, movies (there's a huge Media Room) and trips. One can easily make friends here. My Mom, whom I live with, is disabled. The office here has made sure she had all she needs. There are ramps (elevator bldg-2 elevators) and theapt is easy to get about in. The sidewalks have just been done, nice & smooth pavement-store right across the road. Maintenance is very conscientious, courteous & helpful if you need them at any time, including off-hour emergencies. We feel safe as women since it is a gated community and there is security on site. Very good for single women. The personnel in the Leasing Office are lovely, always helpful and courteous. There are lots of benches on the grounds to relax and observe nature. There's even a large pond w. a fountain in the center of the complex, w. neat landscaping, trees and varied and colorful flowers. Very unique! Highly recommend. No apt. complex I know of has such extensive landscaped grounds. You don't feel as if you are in a busy urban environment--it's peaceful and a relaxing place to come home to.

Your opinion will change if you ever get water in your apartment. MPA did nothing for me. The water came down from apt. 509,to 409 to 309 to 209 my apartment and 109. I walked into a mess. they never called me to warn me, never gave me instructions, never paid for my damages, abandoned me in a time of crises. I wrote a letter to the president of MPA, Vise President the whole management team and never recieved a response. You would think I never paid my rent. I am a excellent resident and was treated like trash. I also wrote to the boston globe, because they wrote an article in the boston globe that contridicted everyhting I experienced. I can't wait until my lease is up.
