I moved in Aug of 03. Shortly after I did, I noticed huge centipedes that were running rampid in my apartment. I had them spray 3 times it didn't fix the problem. I also found one roach as well. I hate this place so badly. The elevators are constantly breaking and I live in the 8th floor. Horrible craftmanship, outlets that don't work, Not to mention it seems that 90% of the tennants that live here are -------. The hall smells of curry and other nasty food. They charge all of this money for rent and the apartments are peices of ----. DO NOT MOVE HERE. I'm glad I'm geting out and moving somewhere that is beautiful with no nasty BUGS!!

We have centipedes too. I also have them in my house in NY, no matter what was done. In NY, I have an exterminator that comes monthly, or even more frequently as needed. Still we have centipede problems several times a year. I don't know why you should have them running "rampid" [sic]. We see one or two a month. You should get a cat. My cat dispatches them immediately.
As for the "nasty" food smells: You live in an apartment. If you do not want reminders that you are surrounded by others, Malden has lots of beautiful houses. Buy one. Put up a privacy hedge.
The smells in the hallway are delicious to me, and remind me of the diversity in this complex. I can smell latin foods, caribbean foods, and eastern foods. It's wonderful. The scent isn't particularly strong though, as there are several vents inn the hall, leading out of the building.
I hope you move somewhere where there are only people exactly like you. be well.
